PIECING MOSAIC TILE DESIGNS |
Mosaic floors are a rich design source for quiltmakers, but they can be intimidating to replicate in fabric. Learn how to use freezer paper as a piecing aid, and you will tackle these intricate designs with confidence.

Faux Log Cabin |
Although this block is not a Log Cabin it mimics that half-dark/half-light effect and can be set in all the same ways as the traditional Log Cabin. Use lots of light and dark scraps as you piece these quick Faux Log Cabin blocks and play with design ideas. |
NO-NONSENSE NINE-PATCH |
Half-square triangle blocks alternate with Nine-Patch blocks in the stunning, but easy to sew quilt. Learn to use the value (lightness and darkness) of the fabric instead of the color to create the alternating bands of sunshine and shadow.
